Angel Ramirez
Angel Ramirez is a dancer, artist and choreographer, hailing from El Salvador, Central America. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Angel began his formal training in early 2017 at the prestigious CityDance Conservatory in North Bethesda, MD. While studying in the conservatory, he also was captain of “Rumberos,” a latin dance club at Magruder High School in Rockville, MD. In May of 2023, he earned a diploma as a professional choreographer from the ICONS Choreographic Dance Institute at ATLAS in Washington, DC after premiering “Renacimiento,” a one-act contemporary piece.
Angel has had the privilege of performing with some of the most renowned dance companies in the world, including Bruce Wood Dance, Koresh Dance, YY Dance, and Alex Neoral's Focus Cia de Dança Company. He has also worked with esteemed choreographers such as Willy Tsao, Earl Mosley, Wang Yuanyuan, Lorraine Spiegler, Robert J. Priore, Sarah J. Ewing, Bayardo Jr Martinez, Millie Parker, and more.
With a deep passion for dance and choreography, Angel has already made a name for himself in the local dance community. He has set pieces at the coveted Kennedy Center, Strathmore Arts Center, Atlas Performing Arts Center, and has worked with several local dance studios in the DMV. Driven by his ambition and work ethic, Angel is determined to continue creating and collaborating with other local artists, leaving his mark on the DMV dance scene for years to come.
